Get started here

Copy the setup prompt and paste it into Codex. It signs you up if you are new, connects Vamo with your sign-in and runs your first search.

Add it directly

Run this in your terminal, then sign in with Vamo in the browser page that opens.

codex mcp add vamo --url https://mcp.vamotalent.ai/mcp/search && codex mcp login vamo

If your Codex cannot sign in, copy the setup prompt instead: it stores a key for you.

Let Codex reach Vamo

Codex runs commands with the network off by default. Allow this one host, then restart Codex.

api.vamotalent.ai

In Codex cloud, add the host to the environment's allowed hosts.

Managed by your team

On a company workspace, ask your admin to allow api.vamotalent.ai and mcp.vamotalent.ai for Codex in the network settings. Rolling it out to a whole team? We set it up with you on a short call.

Try it

Ask for engineers in your own words, or start with one of these. A good answer names real developers, says what each has built, and says why they fit.

What you get back

Every engineer comes back with the repos they own, the projects they contribute to, a contribution garden and why they fit.

Questions

Can Codex sign in with a browser?
Yes, with codex mcp login. Where it cannot, the setup prompt stores a key instead.
Codex says the network is blocked?
The sandbox is still closed. Allow the Vamo API host and restart Codex.
Can Codex call the Vamo API directly?
Yes, with a key in the Authorization header. Point it at the API reference.
What plan do I need?
Pro or Enterprise, and an owner, admin or user role. A read-only member cannot connect a tool.
